About the Author

William Welch

Synthesizing Logic, Leadership, and the Arts

William Welch is an author, senior technologist, and musician who has spent three decades mastering the balance between complex systems and human connection.

With a career spanning 30 years as an IT professional, William has navigated the high-stakes worlds of Military Intelligence and corporate infrastructure. A former consultant at Booz Allen Hamilton, he currently splits his time as a Senior Network Analyst and Senior Software Engineer. He doesn’t just manage technology; he builds it, spending his spare time developing custom Artificial Intelligence and Augmented Reality applications.

But William’s code is only half the story.

A creative at heart, William is a multi-instrumentalist with a passion for the bass guitar and a poet currently digitizing a lifetime of verse for publication. This duality, the engineer’s mind and the artist’s soul, is the foundation of his writing.

His debut book, The 11 Principles of Success, reflects this synthesis. By merging the ancient strategic wisdom of Sun Tzu with the timeless human empathy of Dale Carnegie, William offers a roadmap for success that is both tactical and deeply human.

The Personal Mission

William’s most important role, however, has been that of a father. A single parent since his son was 18 months old, he raised his child with the same principles he writes about. Today, his 19-year-old son is the CEO of his own fully automated LLC, a testament to William’s belief that success is a teachable, repeatable science.

Whether he is debugging code, composing music, or writing his upcoming autobiography, William is driven by a single goal: to decode the patterns of success and share them with the world.

The Spark of Creation

The idea was born when William Welch noticed The Art of War and How to Win Friends and Influence People side-by-side on his bookshelf  a moment that inspired this powerful fusion of intellect and empathy.

Sun Tzu and His Theory

Over 2,500 years ago, Sun Tzu authored The Art of War, a masterpiece on strategy, awareness, and adaptability. His lessons extended far beyond the battlefield — into politics, leadership, and personal mastery.
Sun Tzu taught that true victory lies in subduing the enemy without fighting, emphasizing foresight, preparation, and understanding human behavior. In Eleven Principles of Success, these timeless ideas meet Carnegie’s empathy-driven approach, creating a balanced philosophy for the modern age.
